Coming Full Circle- Michael Geier (Former Patient)

Michael Geier was airlifted to NuHealth ten years ago when he fell off a horse and lapsed into a coma.  The avid equestrian had always wanted to be veterinarian, but his experience at NuHealth changed his focus.  Today, Michael’s life has come full circle—he’s in medical school at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and next year plans to complete his clerkship at the place where it all started.  At NuHealth.

“I saw an empathy in the doctors at NuHealth that I related to.  I have that same empathy, and now I want to use it to help other people.  That’s why I’m becoming a doctor.”

A New Lease On Life- Krista Lesinski, (Patient)

Over a period of six months, Krista Lesinski was constantly under the weather.  Her ankles would swell, she would break out in rashes, and she was frequently depressed.  Finally one day she looked in the mirror and her face was yellow.  She entered NuHealth, where doctors arranged for a liver transplant that ultimately saved her life.

“I could tell that the doctors at NuHealth really cared about me.  They checked on me over the weekend, on their own time, because I was really sick.  Their dedication meant a lot.”
